Pete – First WSS to earn the AKC Therapy Dog Distinguished Title!

Fox River Legacy Oh For Pete’s Sake THDD RATCH CGC TKA earned this very special title by completing over 400 hours in service to others, thanks to his very dedicated owner, Karen.
Not only is he the first THDD but he is also the 1st Welshie to earn a RATCH which is a Barn Hunt Championship.
I am so proud of Karen with Pete, and her other Welshie, Ernie. She does a lot to honor this breed!
Rory earns his RA!
Emily shared the AKC certificate that Rory received in the mail this week – his Rally Advanced title! Emily and Rory make a great team. Thanks for sharing Emily!

Seren goes Best of Breed!
Correne and Seren had a great day at the Shakopee, MN dog show this past weekend (November 23, 2024) going Best of Breed for a 5 point major! This team now has 10 points toward her breed championship. Seren is Fox River Sunshiney Days. Proud breeder!

Athena is a winner!
Athena – Fox River The Goddess of Wisdom, under Carlotta’s expert handling skills, went Winners at a show in California! I believe that makes 3 points for this little girl. She, like her sisters and brother are doing super in the show ring.
Here is her show picture and with her Halloween costume! She’s waiting for the trick and treaters! She’s a keeper!

Champion Fox River Regal Splendor!
My 15 month Welshie, Anwen, finished her breed championship at Coulee Kennel Club’s show in Winona, MN on October 27th by going Best of Opposite over specials.
The little stinker also earned her CGC – Canine Good Citizen, and her TKN – Trick Dog Novice title the weekend after. We are signed up to do the Turkey Trot, 2 mile walk, on Thanksgiving and if we are successful, she will also earn her FITB – Fit Dog title. With the completion of her BCAT – Fast Cat B level back in August, and these other achievements, she will have earned five titles in four months! Super happy with this little girl!

Iris earns her CGC!
Iris has had a lot of health issues. Since May she has been in remission. She was born during Covid and with her health issues, has not had a lot of socialization. So, I decided to see how she would do last weekend at the CGC – Canine Good Citizen test at the Winnegamie Dog Club. I was very happy and pleased to see her get this title. Big thanks to my fellow dog owners who helped work through the separation aspect of the test with her in preparation.
Iris, Fox River Eyes On The Stars, has also earned her FITB, BCAT, TKN, and now the CGC. Makes my heart soar to see her succeeding.

Ernie competes at the National level!
Ernie, Fox River Importance of Being Ernest, competed the beginning of this month in the National Fast Cat competition. Ernie, and owner/handler Karen, made the trip to Ohio to compete. He was the fastest Welsh Springer Spaniel in 2023 – and that is why he was invited.
Here is a great photo of him for you to see.
Very proud of this team!

Doubles!
Was just thinking about how several of my puppy buyers have multiple dogs from me. Correne with Freya and Seren, Venita with Mya and Siri, Karen with Pete and Ernie, just to name a few. I am thankful for such good friends!

Handsome Bryar goes Winners Dog at the Regional

Bryar earned his third point, at not quite 14 months, at the Regional supported entry, September 8th! This is Lynne’s third Welshie and he is a looker! Nice stack and a nice win Lynne!
Seren BOB and her first point!
At the Rochester show, September 14th, Seren went Best of Breed for her first point! So proud of her novice handler/owner Correne! This team will go far!
