Tilly – The Iron Welsh Gold
March 2023 in Louisville, KY my little girl, Tilly and I, competed in a lot of different events as part of the Welsh Springer Spaniel Club of America National Specialty. She earned another Junior Hunter leg and we competed in the Scent Work trial, our first time ever, earning two legs in novice containers, placing second. Then on to conformation. She earned first place in Performance Sweeps and then on to Best of Opposite. She then competed in Best of Breed as the best Hunting dog. We wrapped up our entry on Saturday morning in the Beginner Novice obedience ring. She went first place! All of this competition was for the Iron Welsh, the challenge to see who could win the gold, silver and bronze. And, you guessed it, her performance earned her the GOLD Award of which I am very proud. You can’t ask for a better dog to work with. She is very biddable and loves to work for me. Previously two of my girls have earned silver, Violet and Ruby, and Winnie has been a bronze, but Tilly is my Gold! I am planning a spring breeding and inquiries are invited.

Azalia Modus Vivendi – CGC TKN ACT1 – Quincy has been on a roll in November and December. She finished out 2022 with her Canine Good Citizen (CGC), her Novice Trick Dog (TKN), and her Agility Course Trial 1 (ACT1). Couldn’t be more proud of her! Watch for her in 2023!

This little girl also earned her Nosework ORT title in November and has her NSA2 title.

In July, Tom and Star were awarded her first NACSW title! This little girl has an exceptional nose and will go far in this event. And Tom is an excellent trainer! Good job Team Star!
Welsh Springer Puppies are here!

My Tilly is AWESOME!
I suppose I should be more modest about the wins we have had the last three weeks. Really, it is having such a beautiful, biddable girl that is so loving and willing to please that is the reward. Middle of May I bragged about her Junior Hunter title. Still smiling about that!
And now, at my Packerland Kennel Club’s spring agility trial, she has outdone herself again! We went into this trial having earned, also in the middle of May, two jumpers and one standard leg. And this weekend, she gave me her all and earned her Novice Agility Standard Preferred and her Novice Agility Jumpers Preferred, all six legs with a first place! And then I moved her up and she now has her first Open Jumpers Preferred leg.
What’s in store for her now? Well, we are training for her Senior Hunter and will continue working in agility. Maybe a litter down the road….
